Quality Improvement Specialist

Responsibilities Follow internal training program guidelines and procedures Facilitate all new‑hire training for finishers & inspectors, including reading GT product drawings, accessing and applying GT internal specifications, using hand tools, and identifying non‑conforming product Manage re‑certification training for all finishers & inspectors Ensure employees are qualified to perform tasks affecting product or service quality Coordinate training schedule with Production Supervisors for new hires and re‑certifications Maintain accurate training records Support Lean and Six Sigma improvement activities by participating on teams, collecting and analysing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring quality and process‑related documentation is updated Interpret customer and GTC drawings and specifications Support internal and external audits related to training compliance as required Track training completion and effectiveness metrics Generate reports on training status, compliance rates, and competency progress Required Minimum Qualifications Education: HS Diploma required; Associate’s degree or above preferred Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience Training facilitation skills Knowledge of inspection procedures, techniques, specifications and drawings within a manufacturing environment Good organization and communication skills, including the ability to work cross‑functionally Knowledge and use of standard inspection hand tools U.S. Person status required for authorized access to ITAR‑controlled data (U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents, and those with refugee or asylum status) Physical Requirements Standing frequently (46–100%) Sitting frequently (46–100%) Lifting up to 10 lbs without assistance Carrying up to 15 lbs without assistance Walking frequently (46–100%) Hearing ability to detect noises with or without corrective device(s) Vision clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses Mental Requirements Problem solving frequently (46–100%) Making decisions – ability to make decisions that have a moderate impact Supervise rarely (0–15%) Interpret data frequently (46–100%) Organize frequently (46–100%) Read/Write frequently (46–100%) Communication frequently (46–100%) Work environment: high temperatures rarely (0–15%), low temperatures rarely (0–15%) Noises loud – manufacturing environment, movement of large equipment Fumes exposure rarely (0–15%) We also provide eligible employees with a competitive benefits package that includes health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, 401(k) savings plan, life and disability insurance, tuition assistance, and more, to meet the diverse needs of all employees and their family members.
