Maintenance Planner (Data Centers)

Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

Seeking candidates with approximately 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance planning and scheduling, CMMS administration, maintenance program management, and spare parts/inventory management. Experience with CheckHub or similar maintenance management platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities using a CMMS.
  • Balance maintenance workload with technician availability to maximize labor efficiency.
  • Maintain CMMS data integrity through standardized processes, audits, and database updates.
  • Manage MRO inventory, spare parts, and asset-related purchasing activities.
  • Create purchase requisitions for maintenance-related materials and equipment.
  • Partner with operations teams to improve preventive maintenance programs and asset reliability.
  • Track asset information, documentation, spare parts, labor utilization, and maintenance history.
  • Coordinate special tools, equipment, and resources needed for maintenance activities.
  • Monitor work order flow and maintenance metrics to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Identify open, unscheduled, or unassigned work and ensure timely assignment.
  • Generate weekly maintenance reports, identify operational risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain CMMS asset structures and equipment hierarchies.
  • Develop and maintain CMMS and storeroom standard operating procedures.
  • Support maintenance operations to maximize equipment uptime and minimize operational disruptions.

Work Environment

  • Ability to walk active industrial or commercial sites, including uneven terrain.
  • Occasional local travel to facilities or project sites using personal transportation (mileage reimbursed where applicable).

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 5+ years of facilities maintenance planning/scheduling experience.
  • Experience scheduling maintenance technicians using a CMMS.
  • Strong maintenance program management experience.
  • Spare parts, inventory, and MRO management experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Understanding of commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Customer service mindset and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mission-critical, manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or other highly regulated facilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle, or similar database platforms.
  • Experience developing reports or using reporting software.
  • Experience with CheckHub or similar maintenance management software is highly preferred.
