Job Title: RN (Registered Nurse), CVOR

Job Description:

The RN in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) will be responsible for providing perioperative patient care in the surgical environment. The role includes assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries.

Responsibilities:

Maintain sterile field and ensure compliance with surgical protocols.
Assist surgical team during procedures such as open heart, vascular, and transplant surgeries.
Prepare and manage surgical equipment and materials for operations.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and implement patient care plans.
Participate in the SIMs Lab to demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.

Requirements:

Valid RN license
ACLS and BLS certifications required
CNOR certification preferred
Experience with Cerner/Surginet EMR systems
Ability to fulfill mandatory call requirements
