Accounts Receivable Specialist

A higher education organization is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support daily financial operations. This role will be responsible for managing invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation across multiple systems. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role with full ownership of AR activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking
• Monitor incoming payments across multiple systems (credit card, wire, check)
• Reconcile transactions and maintain accurate financial records
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding payment status
• Process checks and maintains proper documentation
• Maintain data accuracy across systems
• Support process improvements where possible

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable or related financial operations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
• Strong communication skills
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle or PeopleSoft
• Experience in higher education or similar environments
• Exposure to multi-system payment processing
• Process improvement experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: ~$30/hour
• Contract role with potential for full-time conversion
