Schedule: must be able to work evening and weekend hours Job Summary The Residential Manager manages direct support professionals (DSPs) to enable them to provide well-rounded, quality services to individuals utilizing evidence-based best practices. The Manager ensures that DSPs provide for the health, safety, welfare and progress of individuals. The Manager guides DSPs in using effective interactions designed to improve well‑being, promote progress toward goals, increase independence, and improve overall quality of life. The Manager observes, documents and provides meaningful feedback to DSPs to maintain or improve performance to achieve desired results established by the multi‑disciplinary and management teams. The Manager collaborates with the Clinical and Medical staff to provide the necessary development of DSPs and to support the goals of the program and organization. The Manager ensures that staffing is adequate; manages PTO and staffing schedule for the assigned program. The Manager manages budget for the assigned program. The Manager reports to the Operations Administrator. Essential Job Functions Interview and collaborate with Human Resources to hire new employees. Provide and ensure initial employee training, mentor new employees’ onboarding experience and ensure ongoing employee training and development. Monitor employee performance and utilize recognition and feedback models to improve / maintain performance, conduct performance reviews, and provide corrective feedback for employee performance problems that do not improve through coaching. Ensure employees understand their responsibilities to implement residents’ individual plans and monitor this implementation. Establish and maintain positive employee relations. Oversee completion and audit of weekly/monthly paperwork in the program. Oversee development and implementation of activity schedules. Manage staffing for the assigned program. Manage employee transfers and resignations. In collaboration with nursing staff, monitor that residents receive medication and medical treatment, as prescribed, and maintain personal hygiene. Manage the safety and rights of residents. Manage company vehicle use. Set expectations and monitor how employees facilitate resident participation in the community. Manage on‑call / on‑duty responsibilities as assigned. Participate in a weekly on‑call rotation as assigned. Support the organization’s Continuous Quality Improvement and Trauma Informed Care approach. Demonstrate knowledge of the program’s current goals and future goals. Demonstrate willingness and ability to propel the program toward these goals. Demonstrate knowledge of overall program budget. Utilize approved procedures for purchases and cash requests. Manage fiscal budget for the program in coordination with the Operations Administrator. Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Administrator. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or a related field; two (2) years of professional experience working with children; one (1) year of residential facility experience for children or internal equivalency; one (1) year of prior supervisory experience (preferred) OR High school diploma or a General Education Development Certificate (G.E.D.); minimum of five (5) years professional experience working with children and two (2) years in a residential facility for children or internal equivalency and one (1) year supervisory experience (preferred).
