Join Our Team as a Mechanical Equipment Tech IV – Drive Excellence in Oil & Gas Maintenance!

Are you a seasoned maintenance professional with a passion for ensuring mechanical reliability in a dynamic environment? We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Tech IV to join our Reliability and Maintenance Group in Carlsbad, NM. This vital role offers the chance to impact safety, environmental stewardship, and operational efficiency while working on high-speed compressors and rotating equipment in a fast-paced oil and gas setting. What You'll Bring:

  • Solid experience (1-3 years) in industrial maintenance, particularly with rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and VRUs
  • Proven expertise in maintaining and repairing high-speed compressors and engines (500 to 2500 HP preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of oil and gas surface equipment and applications
  • Basic skills in troubleshooting automation and electrical systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a good record
  • Commitment to safety, environmental standards, and teamwork

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to support surveillance to maximize uptime and throughput
  • Familiarity with OPEX reduction and compression optimization initiatives

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, specifically in the oil and gas sector

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work an 8/6 rotation schedule with man camp accommodations
  • Ability to travel within the facility, including climbing and navigating long distances
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, stooping, reaching, and wearing PPE as needed
  • Responds promptly to alarms and safety signals
