Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Day Program/Classroom Support
Location: Housatonic, MA
Pay: $25.00/hour

We're seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Housatonic, MA . This position primarily supports youth with special needs in a classroom setting , while also providing assistance in our adult program as needed based on program census.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Full-time daytime schedule

Position Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to youth with developmental and behavioral disabilities in a classroom environment.
• Assist students with daily classroom routines and activities while promoting independence and engagement.
• Support positive behavior interventions and maintain a safe, structured learning environment.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
• Provide toileting assistance when required.
• Float to the adult program to provide support when census or staffing needs require.
• Complete documentation accurately and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, and individualized support plans.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, special needs, or behavioral challenges preferred.
• Must be comfortable working with youth with special needs in a classroom setting.
• Must be willing to provide toileting assistance when needed.
• Experience assisting with ADLs is preferred.
• Must be flexible and willing to support both youth and adult programs as needed.
• Must be able to successfully pass an EEC background check .
• Reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic are required.
