PT Instructor, Human Anatomy and/or HumanPhysiology Salary: $2,253.10/CAH -$2,521.46/CAH Start Date:Spring 2027 Closing Date:Open Until Filled Location:Chabot College, 25555 HesperianBlvd, Hayward, Ca 94545 Job Summary The Chabot-Las Positas Community CollegeDistrict is seeking a Part-Time Instructor, Human Anatomy and/orHuman Physiology to teach part-time intheBiologydepartment in Spring 2027 and beyond. Theideal candidate must have a passion for teaching and learning and astrong commitment to the missions and values of the communitycollege. They must have community college experience teachingHuman Anatomy, Human Physiology, and/or combined Human Anatomy andPhysiology. We are looking for excellent instructors who arestudent-centered in their approach and dedicated to studentsuccess, have interest in curriculum and instructional improvementthrough ongoing critical thinking about student learning outcomesin courses and programs. Applicants must meet the minimum academicrequirements listed in order to be considered for the pool ofqualified candidates. Applicants that meet the minimum requirementsare not automatically accepted to teach at Chabot. Duties and Responsibilities 1.Deliver organized lectures to teach the topics as listed inthe course outline of record, which can be located at under course 2.Evaluate students using formative assessments such ashomework assignments, quizzes and exams 3.Teachin-person lab curriculum, that includes cadaver dissections, tosatisfy the course outline of record in collaboration with the labtechnician and lead faculty for Anatomy (BIOS 42), Physiology (BIOS43), or Anatomy & Physiology (BIOS 15) 4.Provide effective and timely feedback to students 5.Create a welcoming and student-centered learning andteaching environment Minimum Qualifications Master's inany biological science ORBachelor's in any biological science AND Master's in biochemistry,biophysics, or marine science OR the equivalent. Evidence of understanding of andresponsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural,disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnicbackgrounds of community college students, as these factors relateto the need for equity-minded practices within theclassroom.
