Job Description
The 1st shift Warehouse Loader plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by loading products for customer orders. The position requires working from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of the work, attendance is vital as unplanned absences can impact the operation significantly. A key requirement is operating a forklift, and candidates must have relevant experience. The role involves ensuring that the materials loaded for delivery match customer orders while adhering to all safety procedures and policies.
Responsibilities

• Load trucks with products to ship to customers.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Ensure loaded materials match customer orders.
• Attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures.
• Lift heavy, awkward products (up to 50-100 pounds with assistance) for storage and loading onto trucks.
• Work in a non-temperature-controlled facility near docks, adapting to outside elements.
• Perform traditional warehouse duties and physical labor.

Essential Skills

• Forklift certification and experience.
• Experience with RF scanners.
• Proven ability to load and unload trucks.
• Strong physical stamina for repetitive heavy lifting.

• Highly organized with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Experience in a warehouse environment.

Work Environment
Work in a 95,000 sq. foot facility with controlled temperatures, providing heat in the winter. The environment is typical of a carpentry/distributor facility. Be prepared for hot summer months, though fans and cool treats are available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
