CNC Machinist

Role Description The Machinist role is a full-time, on-site position located at Wagner Industries, Inc. in Frackville, PA. This role is responsible for setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines to produce precision parts for corrugated box-making equipment according to engineering drawings and customer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling and materials, performing accurate measurements, and maintaining tight tolerances. The Machinist will inspect finished parts for quality, perform basic machine maintenance, and collaborate with engineers and production team members to meet deadlines and optimize manufacturing processes. The role also involves following safety procedures, documenting work as required, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions; strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement. Experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, or grinders; familiarity with tooling selection and machine offsets. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) and basic shop math, including geometry and tolerances. Knowledge of machining processes, materials (metals and alloys), feeds and speeds, and basic machine maintenance practices. Understanding of workplace safety standards, safe machine operation, and proper use of personal protective equipment. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a production environment, including following directions and providing feedback. Prior experience in a manufacturing, machining, or metalworking environment; experience with parts for industrial or packaging equipment is a plus.
