Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist needed to provide high-acuity respiratory care for pediatric patients across critical care units. This role supports ventilation management and close monitoring in NICU, PICU, and CVICU settings with potential float coverage to similar pediatric specialty units.

Responsibilities:

• Assess pediatric patients' respiratory status and determine appropriate therapy based on clinical findings
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust ventilatory support according to established protocols
• Perform airway management and administer respiratory treatments to maintain effective oxygenation and ventilation
• Conduct routine and emergency respiratory interventions while following safety and escalation procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update respiratory care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with facility requirements

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio RRT license in hand
• Maintain active NBRC credentials
• Maintain active BLS certification
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably in NICU/PICU/high-acuity pediatric care
• Hold Advanced NRP and PALS certifications, active and in hand
• Provide manager/supervisor/director references from the last 12 months within the applicable specialty
