Sr. Cloud Engineer

Position Summary Sr. Cloud Engineer – Irving, TX. Build, develop, and maintain cloud‑native software web applications and systems to support CVS Health business needs and end customers. Responsibilities Assist with cloud‑native application development, web development, API integration, and scaling them in real time. Participate in the entire software lifecycle: design, development, testing, CI/CD, and production operations. Develop large‑scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting. Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real‑time and offline analytic processing. Collaborate with the Data Science team to integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Leverage Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and query optimization to build data pipelines. Utilize programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Build data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers. Integrate data from a variety of sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current IT environments to identify critical capabilities, recommend solutions, and experiment with new tools to meet requirements dictated by the model or use case. Requirements Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. At least one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Building data warehouses – requirement gathering, analysis, design, and development of code. ETL logic or processes. Informatica Cloud. Developing data models, including data cleanup, dictionaries, and metadata processing. Agile methodologies. Testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting. SQL programming language. Azure, GCP, or AWS. Hadoop ecosystems. Writing Unix shell scripting for process automation. Compensation Pay Range: $134,971.00 yearly to $185,400.00 yearly. Eligible for bonus, commission, short‑term incentive, and equity award programs.
