About the CompanyOur client is a Series A healthcare company building the agentic intelligence layer for healthcare — AI agents that read, reason over, and adjudicate complex clinical cases in real time and push decisions directly into payer systems. The agents automate prior authorizations, already processing 10k+ requests a month and lifting provider satisfaction by 65%. The company is venture-backed and led by an experienced ML researcher.

The RoleOwn and scale the backend and AI infrastructure behind an agentic clinical-decision platform, supporting rapid customer onboarding and growth in a production healthcare environment.
Tech stack: Python-centric; infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar); LLM / prompt-engineering and agentic tooling.
Requirements- Strong Python proficiency (hard requirement)
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code — Terraform or similar (hard requirement)
- A working understanding of prompt engineering
- An active GitHub contribution history
- Currently employed in an engineering role at an established company
- Available on-site in San Francisco five days a week
- A competitive background in any domain (sports, esports, chess, competitive programming, Kaggle) that signals exceptional ability
- Prior founding or early-startup experience, including founding-team membership
- A track record of high agency and strong decision-making
- Experience with browser automation
- Active open-source contributions
- IC strength with the potential to grow into people management
- Real traction, fast: past $1M+ revenue within four months of commercialization, 10x ARR over the last six months, targeting eight-figure ARR by year end — with engineering capacity as the primary growth constraint
- High ownership on hard problems: architect AI-native systems end to end and ship agentic systems processing clinical data at scale
- A path to leadership: build and manage your own engineering team as the company scales
- Elite team and resources: work alongside ex-founders, operators, and clinicians from top labs and big tech; ample GPU, latest hardware, and AI coding assistants provided
- Location — San Francisco, CA
