Job Summary:
The medical surgical floor nurse position is located in HILO, Hawaii. This assignment involves working a rotating shift schedule with a 12-hour shift pattern. The role requires flexibility across various shift lengths and days, supporting the care of patients in a busy medical unit. Candidates should be available to start on 08/24/2026 and must have valid licensure and certifications to practice.

Job Details:

• Shift: Rotating; shift hours are 12 hours per day.
• Schedule: Night shift; scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment; BLS and ACLS certifications; 2-10 years of relevant experience; specific licensures and certifications as listed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on a medical surgical floor; ability to float to other units such as Laulima or Cardiovascular Unit.
• Additional Information: Candidate must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health appointment on Friday. Orientation will be provided for each unit. The position is considered to have normal urgency. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
