The job involves managing hourly team members, interacting with guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way, executing opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco's standard procedures and recipe guidelines, handling guest concerns, cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, managing deposits, de-escalating issues between team members, supporting management with the inventory process, maintaining food safety, managing the daily prep list, communicating a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience, embracing feedback, being eager to learn, taking accountability for actions, managing time effectively, and being comfortable in all areas of the restaurant as it relates to culinary, hospitality, and guest interaction.

The Necessities

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 2 years of experience as a shift leader/supervisor in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on restaurant needs.
• Regularly exposed to heat and/or humid conditions.
• Lunch and dinner rushes require constant multitasking in a fluctuating, fast-paced work environment.
• Allergen exposure to wheat, nuts, gluten, soy, and milk products on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Kneeling occasionally to reach low storage and refrigeration.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with compassion, composure, and professionalism.
• Possesses a food handler's certification and is comfortable working around food.
• Possesses an alcoholic beverage service certification and complies with all regulations.
• Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision are required.
• Must possess dexterity to handle tongs, pots/pans, and other equipment.
