Health Policy Analyst

Joining the Medical Cost Initiatives Team, the full-time remote Health Economics Analyst will manage comprehensive data analysis, identify financial and clinical performance opportunities, and communicate insights effectively to enhance UPMC Health Plan products and programs. Key responsibilities: Independently prioritize and manage multiple advanced quantitative analytics projects while analyzing financial and clinical results Apply advanced data extraction, manipulation, and statistical analysis methods to produce insights into Health Plan performance Develop expertise in UPMC Health Plan products and benefit designs to facilitate thorough analysis and communication of results Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, health care management, decision sciences, or a similar quantitative field; Master's degree preferred Two to four years of work experience in a quantitative job function; five years preferred Prior experience with financial and/or clinical modeling or data analysis is highly desirable Experience using SQL, SAS, or R for complex quantitative analyses; familiarity with other programming languages or analysis tools is acceptable Demonstrated data visualization experience and advanced Excel skills
