Associate/Full Professor (Tenure Track) and Coleman Endowed Chair - Management & Entrepreneurship

The Coleman Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship primaryresponsibilities will be to provide strong research and curricularleadership for our entrepreneurship programs, including graduatedegree programs (MBA, Doctorate in Business Administration) andundergraduate major and minor degree offerings, interface with theColeman Center and its stakeholders, and cultivate and maintaineffective relationships with internal advisory boards and Chicago’sthriving entrepreneurship ecosystem. Other responsibilitiesmay include providing guidance to doctoral students pursuingresearch in the field of entrepreneurship. The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship houses adiverse, multi-disciplinary and research-active faculty who supportundergraduate and graduate programs in entrepreneurship, businessanalytics, human resource management, general management, supplychain management, and sustainability management. Managementand Entrepreneurship faculty research has appeared in top-rankedjournals, including Academy of Management Journal, Journal ofApplied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of BusinessVenturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. Both thegraduate and undergraduate entrepreneurship programs werenationally ranked in the top-20 by The Princeton Review. Thedepartment is also home to the Coleman Center for Entrepreneurship,which received the 2023 Nasdaq Award for EntrepreneurialExcellence. A number of active student groups, including achapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, areaffiliated with the department. Applicants must have a doctorate inentrepreneurship or a related field. The successful candidate must qualify for the rank of Associateor Full Professor with tenure and be a nationally recognizedscholar in entrepreneurship. Required qualifications includean outstanding record of publications in top entrepreneurship andmanagement academic journals, evidence of teaching excellence, andnotable service contributions. Candidates will also beexpected to demonstrate the ability to work collegially andcollaboratively within the academic and business communities. General Compensation/Benefits Statement DePaul University has provided a compensation range that representsits good faith estimate of what the University may pay for theposition at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selectedcandidate will be determined based on factors such as (but notlimited to) the qualifications, education, experience, and trainingof the selected candidate, the scope and responsibilities of theposition, departmental budget availability, internal salary equityconsiderations, and available market information.Thesalary range for this 10-month position is $148,200 - $180,000 atthe Associate Professor level and $174,000 - $240,000 at the FullProfessor level, commensurate with qualifications and experience.The role also includes a stipend of up to $40,000 to serve as theColeman Endowed Chair. About DePaul University's Academic Calendar Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on aquarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, intwo sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College ofLaw operates on the semester system.
