You will frame and clarify analytical problems, drive cross-functional planning, and build strong fellowship among teams and business partners to embed lasting value and protect our business controlsOur primary hiring location is Benton Harbor, Michigan and all roles are fully onsite. Your responsibilities will includeFinancial Strategy & Planning: Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth or cost optimizationFinancial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with [GAAP / IFRS] standards. Present fiscal metrics directly to executive leadershipServe as an agent and sponsor for change for the Finance organization, challenging status quo thinking and taking informed risks to expand opportunitiesIdentify areas of opportunity independently and formulate actionable, strategic plans to solve complex business problems and close knowledge/system gapsMake timely decisions that balance speed and sufficient data/information to navigate dynamic business environmentsEffectively articulate strategic and operational goals and progress to all levels of the organization, translating macroeconomic trends into actionable business insightsLead cross-functional planning and forecasting processes, identifying upstream and downstream process and control implications across finance and business functionsSupervise, evaluate, and develop talent, actively managing career development plans, teaching complicated concepts, and identifying strengths and areas of opportunity within your teamCash Flow & Capital Management: Monitor and optimize working capital, manage cash flow forecastingInternal Controls & Audit: Establish, maintain, and audit robust internal financial controls to safeguardMinimum requirementsBachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field5+ years of professional work experience in corporate finance, accounting, or related fieldsPreferred skills and experiencesMBA or professional financial certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, FRM)High proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data extraction/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Determined, perseverant mindset with a track record of achieving aspirational targets despite obstaclesInsightful and receptive to feedback, demonstrating flexibility to learn, grow, and anticipate issues quicklyAbility to effectively work cross-regionally and cross-culturally in a highly matrixed organizationWhat we offerGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
