Permitting Supervisor

Role Description

Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Permitting Supervisor to join our Energy-Electric sector and support electric utility infrastructure projects. As a Permitting Supervisor, you will be collaborating with our project management team and working closely with various departments and agencies.

• Prepare and defend permit submittals including access permits, traffic control, encroachment, roadway crossings, and FAA permits.
• Assemble, check, and submit permit packages either directly or through client’s submittal personnel.
• Expedite permit package preparation and re-issue throughout the lifecycle of post design through energization and close-out.
• Attend team and client work status meetings, design review meetings, and participate in site assessment document reviews.
• Manage interaction with internal and client permit teams and key stakeholders during initial design and engineering phases.
• Attend assigned permit bureau meetings to maintain current knowledge of permitting processes and changes.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with client staff, public, development community, and permitting agency staff.
• Stay up to date on evolving agency requirements and permitting practices.
• Inform team of all new and trending changes related to the permitting process.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of direct Electric utility and underground infrastructure permitting experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-2 years of supervisor experience required.
• Prior QA/QC review experience in various document types required.
• Ability to interpret/understand technically written documents and create, draft, and edit designs and permitting applications required.
• Knowledge of and prior work with the Caltrans DSDD, EPE, & Encroachment application processes preferred.
• Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency using KMZ review and creation via Google Earth Pro.
• Proficiency using Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, adaptable to change, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Capability to guide and supervise a team in permit processes.

Requirements

• Pay Range: $120,000 - $162,000 per year.
• Work Location: Remote (CA residents only).
• Travel: Quarterly travel in the Southern CA area.
• Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check.
