Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students’ communication needs across two welcoming high schools and one vibrant elementary setting near Eugene, OR. This full-time role runs from September 8, 2026, through June 17, 2027, offering the chance to develop meaningful connections with a diverse caseload of approximately 33 students involved in life skills programming.

Split your impact between Westmoreland Campus—focusing on special education and skill-building—and Lane Schools—where your expertise will foster social development. The organization values candidates with experience in feeding/swallowing (safe eating) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), but they’re also ready to train and support those eager to learn these specialties.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a valid SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred, but strong new graduates or those from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn about feeding and swallowing disorders and AAC technology
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide speech and language therapy to students participating in life skills programming
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Work independently on site, with access to robust virtual and monthly support from an established SLP team
• Collaborate with special education staff, paraprofessionals, and assistants to ensure comprehensive student care
• Focus half the week at Westmoreland Campus and the other half at Lane Schools—no virtual or hybrid service delivery

You’ll be part of a supportive culture that prioritizes teamwork—even when working solo you will have backup from a highly experienced multidisciplinary staff. Experience the rewarding challenges of school-based work in a setting dedicated to growth and inclusion.
