Analyst, Trade & Commercial Operations

Reporting to the Executive Director, Trade Finance, the Analyst, Trade & Commercial Operations will play a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making across Trade Finance, Commercial Operations, and Customer Service. The Analyst, Trade & Commercial Operations plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across Trade Finance, Commercial Operations, and Customer Service. This position is responsible for delivering actionable insights, ensuring revenue accuracy, and optimizing trade and distribution processes across the order-to-cash lifecycle. This role partners cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and Commercial teams to enhance Gross-to-Net (GTN) performance, strengthen data integrity, and drive scalable process improvements. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, deep attention to detail, and experience navigating complex data environments within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Key Responsibilities Business Analytics & Insights Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting for shipping and distribution, Gross-to-Net (GTN), revenue, rebates, chargebacks, accounts receivable, and service performance Analyze data across ERP, 3PL, and commercial systems to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and uncover revenue leakage opportunities Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders Trade Finance & Operational Support Support trade finance activities including pricing validation, rebate and chargeback analysis, and contract alignment Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting Investigate and resolve discrepancies impacting customer billing, pricing, and financial performance Assist in resolving discrepancies across order, pricing, and financial data impacting revenue recognition and customer billing Reconcile data across ERP, 3PL, and customer systems to ensure alignment across orders, shipments, and financial reporting Maintain integrity of customer, product, pricing, and contract master data Identify root causes of data inconsistencies and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy and efficiency Cross-Functional Projects & Process Improvement Lead or support special projects focused on process optimization, system enhancements, and reporting automation Partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve data flows, reporting capabilities, and system integration Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual processes and increase scalability and accuracy Customer Operations Support Provide analytical support to monitor order flow, fulfillment performance, and service levels Assist with issue resolution and exception management related to orders, shipments, and returns Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling); experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred Ability to synthesize data into clear insights and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders High attention to detail with strong organizational and data validation skills Ability to work across multiple systems and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and Commercial teams Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or related field 2-4+ years of experience in business analytics, finance, sales operations, or commercial operations, preferably within pharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare Strong understanding of trade finance concepts (rebates, chargebacks, pricing, GTN) preferred Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) Familiarity with pharmaceutical distribution and regulatory environments (FDA, DEA, DSCSA, PDMA) is a plus Experience supporting or working with 3PL operations preferred The base salary range for this position is$85,000 - $105,000; the exact salary depends on various factors such as experience, skills, education, location, competencies and industry-specific knowledge.
