It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.Job Description And Position RequirementsScheduled Weekly Hours: TBDWork Shift: mid shifts 9a-9p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p, 1p-1aSummary of the Job: Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.Minimum Qualifications:Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.Current LA RN licensure.Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire) through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.Preferred Qualifications:One year of acute Emergency Department experience preferred.Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.
