Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Church Street in Saratoga Springs, NY. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 12:30 pm, and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient data accurately and promptly Process billing information and collect payments as necessary Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Compensation Pay Range: $17.75 – $21.00 per hour Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Benefits Employees scheduled for 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours receive 401(k) only. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO/FTO.
