Communications Manager

To shape the public narrative of advanced technology, the fully remote Communications Manager will manage strategic storytelling, build media relations, and prepare leadership for public engagements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Own the end-to-end narrative for products, crafting high-level op-eds and product launch announcements Build and maintain relationships with defense trade, national security, and tech journalists for high-value media placements Prepare leadership for interviews and speaking engagements, ensuring consistent and authoritative messaging Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in strategic communications, PR, or journalism within the defense, aerospace, or deep tech sectors Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, mission-focused content for non-technical audiences Mastery of AP Style with a proven track record of crafting compelling narratives under tight deadlines Demonstrated success in pitching stories and managing media inquiries in a regulated industry U.S. Citizenship and current residency within the United States are required due to federal compliance
