Empower young learners as a contract Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting K-12 students across the vibrant Virginia Beach and Norfolk region for the upcoming school year. With multiple positions available, you will deliver vital speech-language services to diverse student populations in Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. You’ll work standard school hours—7.33 hours per day, Monday through Friday—ensuring stability and consistency within your caseload.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active, valid SLP license required
• Completion of SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or school-based SLP program
• Experience in school settings preferred
• Compassionate, organized, and flexible approach
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple K-12 caseloads
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for K-12 students
• Deliver direct therapy sessions both individually and in group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to support student progress
• Provide consultation and education to school teams and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports per school district guidelines
