Role Overview Provides professional nursing care in a Level III NICU, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, and evaluate patient conditions. Collaborates with team members, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures family-centered care in a 35-bed single-room unit. Occasional floating to other women and children units is required. Qualifications & Skills Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if Associate Degree is highest. Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of employment. NICU experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Assess patient status, recognize changes, monitor progress, and document observations. Delegate appropriate care tasks to staff and work as part of a cohesive team.
