Bi‑weekly Hours: 16.00

Shift: Variable Days and Shifts

Primary Patient Population

• Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

Primary skills utilized/learned

• Neurological assessments
• Adaptive ADLs; SCI retraining
• Transfer/Mobility training
• Vital signs, IVs, Foley catheter insertion/removal, wound care, etc.

Personnel the Nurse Intern will work with

• RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers/Case Management, Respiratory Therapy, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Art & Music Therapy, Dieticians

Number of beds on unit

• 24 beds

Required Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Completed fundamentals of nursing.
• Currently registered in clinical rotations.
• Continuous enrollment in a nursing program.
• Eligibility to continue in the position is a maximum of six months upon graduating from nursing school.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
