Job Summary

Emergency Room position providing care for a broad range of emergency department patients in an acute care setting. The role requires strong emergency department experience and the ability to manage critical drips, respiratory treatments, cardiac monitoring, and patients requiring stabilization and transfer.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of emergency department experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Typical scheduling needs include 11:00 AM–11:00 PM, 3:00 PM–3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts.
• Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Additional Information: The emergency department treats approximately 100 patients daily and provides care for a broad range of diagnoses. Responsibilities may include managing critical emergency department drips, administering respiratory treatments, interpreting cardiac monitor strips, drawing labs, and stabilizing patients who require transfer. The department includes trauma bays, a fast-track area, separate triage and behavioral health rooms, and in-house security coverage. Orientation includes one day of general facility orientation followed by three days on the unit with a registered nurse.
