Family Support Specialist

North American Family Institute (NAFI), a national non-profit human services agency, is seeking full-time Family Support Specialists to assist with the delivery of an evidenced based model, Functional Family Therapy - Foster Care (FFT-FC), to foster families and permanency families who live in Polk, Hardee and Highlands County, Florida. FFT is a community-based program, working with youth and families involved with the Florida Department of Children and Families. The Family Support Specialist will work as a team member with FFT Family Therapists.

The position consists of assisting family therapists with in-home intensive family therapy to foster families and permanency families during non-traditional work hours. All applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a related human service field, and a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with adolescents . This position requires a valid Florida driver's license, a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Computer experience and familiarity with electronic health records is required.

This position also requires the ability to work a non-traditional/flexible schedule, including evening hours, as needed. Applicants must be eligible to work with children and adolescents by completing a series of background checks and abuse screenings.

Hourly Compensation : $21.63 an hour

Schedule: Available to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary. (Required)

Work Location: Lakeland, Florida. Must be willing to provide services to families in Polk, Hardee and Highlands Counties, as needed.
