Maintenance Mechanic

GD Resources LLC is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to perform multi-trade preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the VA medical center. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective building maintenance.
• Support carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical, and general facility repairs.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and mechanical spaces.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify required repairs.
• Repair pumps, valves, doors, fixtures, and mechanical components.
• Determine required materials, tools, and repair methods.
• Support larger repairs and facility shutdown activities.
• Use CMMS/Maximo or similar systems to receive, update, and close work orders.
• Document labor hours, materials, inspections, and completed work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant maintenance/trade experience , including commercial or hospital experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Working knowledge of several building trades.
• Ability to work independently from drawings, work orders, specifications, and verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely use appropriate tools and equipment.

Work Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM 12:00 AM
• 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM 8:00 AM
