Associate Director, CMC Project Management
Vir Biotechnology
Vir Biotechnology seeks an Associate Director of CMC Project Management to lead cross-functional development programs from early-stage through commercialization. The role coordinates manufacturing, analytical, quality, and regulatory teams while driving process improvements and operational excellence, reporting to the VP of CMC Strategy and Operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead CMC development programs from early-stage through regulatory filing and commercial lifecycle management
- Develop integrated project plans coordinating internal teams, external partners, vendors, and CMOs
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies; perform critical path analyses to accelerate timelines
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment on priorities, timelines, and resource allocation
- Standardize project reporting and portfolio management processes; support budgeting and resource forecasting
Requirements
- BS or MS in biotechnology, chemical engineering, biology, chemistry, or related scientific discipline
- 10+ years CMC development, regulatory affairs, quality, or technical operations experience
- 5+ years project or program management supporting drug development programs
- Experience leading complex cross-functional CMC programs across multiple development stages
- PhD, MBA, PMP, or PMI certification preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical teams
