About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Location

Newport, VT | Critical Access Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services during night shift hours in a critical access hospital setting
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
• Operate and manage respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately and in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to practice in the state of Vermont
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC preferred; CRT considered
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience working in an acute or critical care hospital environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a critical access or rural hospital setting
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and advanced airway management
• Strong ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
