Unit Service Coordinator

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary: The Unit Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit. Specific duties include performing reception functions, collecting and compiling patient data, assembling medical records, and assisting with patient admission/discharge. Performs routine patient care functions as needed and will perform other related duties as required.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications: Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Certification within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of medical terminology Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
