Radiology - CT Tech

CT Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days: Thursday to Sunday, 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM, with 4 days of call per month.

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing professional, timely, and accurate diagnostic CT examinations of specific anatomy as prescribed by the referring physician. The role involves compliance with established policies and procedures while obtaining diagnostic-quality radiographs for interpretation by radiologists. This position requires a graduate from an accredited AMA school and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), along with a state license as a general radiographer.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT scanning procedures including CT of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures.
• Provide timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Demonstrate proficiency in routine diagnostic CT procedures, including knowledge of processing of CT systems, and surgical/sterile procedures with or without contrast media.
• Conduct basic radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy and portable radiographic procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• ARRT certification in CT is required.
• Experience in both CT and X-ray is required.
