The workspace will vary, as therapists will travel to clients' homes, which allows for a unique insight into each child's daily life and environment, helping us customize treatment plans effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Effective Movement Therapy, your responsibilities will include:Performing comprehensive evaluations to assess the physical and developmental needs of pediatric patients.Administering individualized therapeutic interventions that may include exercises, manual therapy, and functional training tailored to each child's capabilities and goals.Providing clinical treatment through screenings, evaluations, direct therapy sessions, and training for families and caregivers on patient progress and care strategies.Maintaining open and effective communication with pediatric patients and their families regarding treatment goals, home programs, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.Collaborating with office staff and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care and referral processes, ensuring families have access to additional resources and services as needed.Documenting all patient interactions, progress, and therapy outcomes in electronic health records while consulting with physicians on a regular basis.Keeping abreast of the latest developments in pediatric therapies and adjusting treatment methodologies as necessary to ensure the highest standard of care.Patient Population / Client FocusThis role focuses primarily on pediatric clients, treating children from infancy through adolescence who may experience a variety of conditions including developmental delays, orthopedic issues, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. As a Pediatric PT, you will play a crucial role in helping children restore mobility, improve physical function, relieve pain, and prevent future disabilities, thus significantly improving their quality of life.QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.A valid and active license to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida.At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care or pediatric setting, demonstrating the ability to handle complex cases effectively.Expertise in trigger point therapy techniques and a thorough understanding of pediatric anatomy and physiology.Preferred ExperienceWhile the mandatory experience outlines essential qualifications, candidates with additional experience in treatments specific to pediatrics, such as neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) or sensory integration therapy, will be given preference. Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams are highly desirable.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
