Position Summary We are currently seeking a retail Store Manager/Store Director to join the store team and participate in our Store Director in Training program. The program offers experience in various departments for approximately six to eight weeks. Upon completion, you will work as the Acting Store Director, responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the store, leading department managers and ensuring staff are supervised, trained, and productive. Train in various store departments such as Bakery, Deli, Meat, Grocery, Produce, and Front End, learning opening and closing procedures for all departments. Ultimately, you will provide leadership and direction to Team Members. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Learn all facets of store operations including inventory levels, store conditions, loss prevention, and security issues. Collaborate with corporate management, department managers, team members, and vendors to drive sales while ensuring high customer service. Promote sale objectives through merchandising and training of team members. Conduct store meetings to discuss goals, sales, ads, and strategies to ensure store success. Promote effective communication with customers and team members that encourages teamwork and high engagement. Maintain health and safety standards for all customers and team members. Ensure company policies are followed by all store personnel and vendors. Interview candidates and complete onboarding and orientation. Communicate policy changes, announcements, or standards to all store personnel. Train, coach and develop store management to ensure departments are properly staffed and thoroughly trained. Skills And Qualifications Strong understanding of all phases of store operations. Exceptional leadership, mentoring and communication skills. Ability to develop and achieve sales and production goals. Conflict resolution skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to monitor sales and labor levels. Proficiency in MS Office. Qualifications Retail Grocery Store background. Strong management experience. Physical Demands And Work Conditions Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls. Requires vision abilities including close vision and focus adjustment.
