General Function The Licensed Optician creates exceptional value by delivering Signature Customer Experiences, ensuring customers are delighted by performing key steps of our selling model and developing optical skills of others. Major Duties And Responsibilities Conveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed Customer Service by performing the following Sales and Service Process steps. Execute our CEE Service Model through Connect, Explore and Exceed. Support problem solving and troubleshooting. Engage patients, customers and fellow associates with technology to enhance experiences. Deliver the Diamond Service Principles and Service Vision. Celebrate the LensCrafters Advantages and lead the location’s customer service tone. Anticipate problems before they occur; investigate recurring customer problems and pursue long‑term solutions. Assist the customer in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their lifestyle, Rx and price needs; recommend solutions and assist associates with complex areas. Show patience and courtesy with customers; research answers to unfamiliar questions. Assist co‑workers with questions or problems and cooperate in group efforts. Act as a leader in optical acumen that provides expertise to associates. Educate the customer on LensCrafters’ guarantees and services (eyewear care tips, complimentary adjustments, follow‑up services, protection plans, warranties). Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear carefully and correctly; ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer requirements. Celebrate the LC Advantages at dispense. Strive to achieve “Exceptional Results” on LensCrafters’ annual CEI/Functional Skills aligned with brand priorities. Operate the Point of Sale terminal, input customer and prescription information accurately, and handle payments per company security procedures. Use Order Tracker to support customers getting orders RWP. Maintain store appearance and visual displays per planograms. Ensure a positive Store Manager/Macy’s Host relationship that grows business and satisfaction. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. State licensure or certification by a nationally recognized opticianary association. Optical dispensing experience. Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise. Knowledge of current store merchandise assortment and use of inventory management systems. Strong communicator and listener. Awareness of current fashion trends. Sales skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet. Comfortable with technology to engage patients, customers and associates. Preferred Qualifications Actively studying LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program. Previous customer service and retail experience.
