A busy, established independent automotive repair facility is seeking an experienced Service Advisor with strong communication, customer service, and sales skills. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, dependable, and comfortable explaining repair recommendations, presenting estimates, obtaining approvals, and maintaining consistent customer communication throughout the repair process.

Integrity and ethical judgment are non-negotiable we are looking for someone who can confidently sell necessary repairs without pressure, misrepresentation, or compromising customer trust. Automotive service experience is preferred, and experience with commercial fleets or diesel vehicles is a plus.

• Must possess a valid in-state driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional verbal and physical appearance
• Excellent communication and verbal skills in English
• High level of integrity and ethical judgment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics and maintenance instructions
• Knowledge of automotive systems and services
• Proven experience in a customer facing role
• Problem resolution and de-escalation are a must
• Ability to multitask
• Must have strong self initiative

Responsibilities

• Explain service and repair recommendations to the customer in easy-to-understand language
• Answer phones and set appointments
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals & the targeted customer satisfaction index
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive
• Determine vehicle needs based on customer information and a vehicle walk-around, inspections
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate and deliver with transparency
• Communicate frequently with technicians to ensure timely completion of work
• Follow up with customers on their vehicle's statuse art service departments, the Service Advisor acts as the go-between for Service Technicians and customers. In this position, you’ll be able to get out from behind the desk and play an active role in the service lane. AutoNation will look to you to explain the Service Technician’s recommendations to the customer in easy-to-understand language – and suggest up-sell opportunities to keep the customer’s vehicle safe.
