Senior CNC Programmer – 5-Axis Machining

Job Summary

Develops, optimizes, and supports CNC programs and manufacturing processes for complex 5-axis machined components. Troubleshoots production issues, improves machining efficiency, and ensures compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize 5-axis CNC programs and machining processes.
\n
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process controls.
\n
• Improve production processes to enhance quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
\n
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
\n
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, and machining methods.
\n
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure product conformity.
\n
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
\n
• Support workplace safety and compliance with applicable regulations.
\n

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

\n
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
\n
• Minimum of 3 years of NC programming experience, including complex 5-axis machining and mathematical modeling.
\n
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, cutting tools, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
\n
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and ANSI Y14.5 GD&T specifications.
\n
• Strong mathematical, trigonometry, geometry, and problem-solving skills.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience with Siemens NX (Unigraphics), Vericut, Fanuc, and Siemens 840D controls.
\n
• Aerospace or precision machining experience.
\n
• Knowledge of SPC, PFMEA, and continuous improvement methods.
\n
• Specialized CNC programming certification or technical training.
\n
