Speech Language Pathologist - Home Health Visits

Speech Language Pathologist – Per Diem BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a per‑diem position performing home health visits in the Columbia, Maryland area. The role requires seeing approximately 5–10 clients per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidates must be available to serve clients in both Howard and Carroll Counties. Make home visits to clients within designated geographic territories. Perform thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties. Develop a treatment plan based on the evaluation, physician’s orders, and recommended goals. Continuously assess and revise the speech therapy care plan, and participate with BAYADA clinicians in the multidisciplinary care plan as appropriate. Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives in rehabilitative care and activities to promote the client’s health, safety, and independent living. Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided, utilizing a state‑of‑the‑art tablet device. Qualifications: Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Maryland. Certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or equivalent educational requirements and work experience sufficient for such a certificate. Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
