Shift : Full-Time 40 hours a week, Evening shift only – 3 pm to 11:30 pm, rotating weekends and holidays. Summary : Maintains the cleanliness of patient and hospital facilities, performing routine cleaning and sanitizing per established procedures, reflecting the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. Sanitize with germicidal cleanser, high dusting, cleaning windows and windowsills. Ensure all tiled floors are dust mopped, damp mopped, free of dust, dirt and black marks; clean corners, edges and baseboards. Use and maintain chemicals and supplies per procedure; dilute chemicals properly and lock labels when not in use. Maintain equipment properly and report safety hazards. Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area. Distribute linens to patient wings and remove dirty linens, where applicable. Follow infection control practices, including hand washing, standard precautions and isolation precautions; use appropriate disinfectants to prevent spread of infection. Work independently with normal supervision. Perform other duties as assigned. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English required.
