Locum Opportunity: Cardiovascular Surgeon in Lufkin TX

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular surgical coverage for emergency and elective cases.
• Manage 24-hour call duties effectively ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Perform full-scope cardiovascular surgeries.
• Collaborate with medical personnel and support staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Utilize electronic medical records efficiently to document surgeries and patient interactions.
• Assist with the onboarding of new staff and provide training as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified (BC) highly preferred or Board Eligible (BE).
• Active TX state medical license is required.
• Completion of a cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery fellowship is mandatory.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred; training may be available on-site.
• Demonstrated clean malpractice history.
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is required.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Texas medical license or IMLC with active LOQ.
• Current board certifications in cardiovascular surgery.
• Up-to-date BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
