Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Brownsville, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong triage and critical thinking skills while managing high-acuity cases.

Responsibilities:

• Perform emergency assessments and prioritize care based on ESI guidelines.
• Administer medications and provide wound care, IV insertion, and EKGs.
• Assist with intubation, rapid sequence intubation, and code response.
• Coordinate transport preparation for higher levels of care.
• Follow isolation and infection control protocols.
• Document and reassess patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (TNCC preferred).
• Experience with trauma and cardiac conditions, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
