ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 12 Months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Must have a valid nursing license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Required; NIH Preferred Must-Have: - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Multi-system organ failure - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention - IV insulin protocols - GI Surgery - Chronic/Acute Renal failure - Arterial line management - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - PICC line management - Continuous IV sedations - Titrate Cardiac drips - Titrate Vasoactive drips - BiPap and CPAP Management - Care of ventilated patients - HFNC - Interpretation of ABGs - Suctioning - Infection prevention - Isolation precautions/PPE Description: The ICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients. This role involves managing patients with multi-system organ failure and administer complex therapies. The nurse will be expected to float to various units as needed. Patient ratios will typically be 1:2 during shifts. The unit predominantly cares for heavy medical ICU cases, along with some surgical patients. An active Cath Lab operates 24/7, and nurses should adapt to the fast-paced environment. Requirements include flexibility for weekend shifts and working on major holidays. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Continuous education and adherence to infection control protocols are critical to ensure patient safety. This position is full-time with potential for additional shifts based on unit needs. Successful candidates must possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
