Vice President for Communications and Marketing

The client seeks a seasoned, dynamic, and collaborative Vice President for Communications and Marketing. Reporting to the President and serving on the executive cabinet, the Vice President will oversee the client’s brand, communications and marketing strategies, and internal and external communications, including digital and print outreach. Key responsibilities include media relations and crisis communications, as well as leading a proactive approach to strengthening the client’s public image. The Vice President will provide strategic leadership for a multifaceted communications and marketing team, overseeing the development of high-quality content and helping advance consistent, engaging, and elevated outreach. The role is expected to anticipate issues and threats to the client’s brand and reputation, identify opportunities to increase the client’s visibility, and set and achieve objectives that deepen the division’s impact with on- and off-campus constituencies. The Vice President will mentor and manage staff to maximize team performance and contributions. As a member of the President’s senior leadership team, the Vice President will be a trusted leader known for vision, integrity, and change leadership. The role will support the implementation of major institutional priorities, align communications and marketing with overarching strategic objectives, and contribute to efforts related to admissions and fundraising, as well as community standing and crisis management capabilities.
