Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

• Manage complex patients - Trauma/Burn/Critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, ECMO
• Perform IV verification and medication verification
• Execute IV compounding as needed
• Apply advanced dosing skills including Vancomycin AUC, Aminoglycoside dosing, renal dosing, warfarin, enoxaparin, and electrolyte protocols

Requirements of the Pharmacist

• Virginia State Pharmacist license
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
• Experience with Dose Edge IV, Pyxis, Meditech, and Vigilanz
