Per Diem Hospice CNA – Downingtown, PA We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who will provide personal care and light housekeeping services to terminally ill patients in various settings. This role offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay. Responsibilities Provide personal care and light housekeeping services in accordance with the established care plan. Work under the supervision of an RN and participate as a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Observe patients, report findings, and document observations and care performed in a timely manner. Ensure care and comfort for patients in line with the hospice Aide plan of care. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Completion of a Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation training program approved by Pennsylvania Nursing. Pass a written competency test (42 C.F.R. §484.36 or 418.76(c)). Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation meeting PA requirements. Minimum age 18. One year of direct patient–care experience in an institutional or home‑care setting (community health/hospice experience preferred). Strong professional attitude, effective communication, courteous and cooperative demeanor with patients, caregivers, staff, and supervisors. Optimistic, enthusiastic, and willing to work constructively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Understanding of hospice philosophy and the needs of terminally ill patients.
