Job TitleThe Jewish Board's Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities.Position OverviewThis position provides clinical services as part of an Article 31 OMH certified outpatient MHOTRS clinic. The clinics are located in diverse communities and provide services to individuals of all ages and their families and support systems. Clinical services are provided using a trauma-informed, evidence-based, racially & culturally affirming approach. Interventions include, but are not limited to, evaluations; individual, group and/or family therapy; care coordination; and crisis interventions.Key Essential FunctionsConduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessmentsDevelop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members (as appropriate), to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect client's treatment progress and changing problems/goals.Provide individual, group, family, collateral treatment and crisis services/interventionsBe actively self-reflective & self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and the communities we serveApproach work with an anti-racist lens and open to continuously learning and evolvingLiaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate careParticipate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, required training, and supervision.Open and willing to receive constructive feedbackMaintain documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies and/or funding sourcesMaintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned.Additional Functions May IncludeAttending case conferences as neededMaintaining a steady and active caseloadMeeting the minimum expectations for kept visitsEducational / Training RequiredMaster's degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program AND a New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or social work (LMSW) required.Experience Required / Language PreferenceExperience treating children or adolescents is preferred.Fluency in a second language is preferred.Computer Skills RequiredExperience with documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office softwareExperience with tele mental health platforms a plusVisual And Manual DexterityThe candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programsWork Environment / Physical EffortHybrid work setting. Position entails a combination of in person and remote work. Allocation of time and locations to be developed in collaboration with Senior Program Director and is based on the needs of the programs and clients served.
