NP/PA Urgent Care, Leland, NC-3 day work week!

Our Leland Urgent Care team is seeing an experienced PA/NP to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy the fast-pace of Urgent Care, 3 shifts per week from 800a-800p as well as every-other weekend. This exciting opportunity includes fulltime benefits plus so much more.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Reviews patient records.
2. Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
3. Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Establishes presumptive diagnosis.
4. Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
5. Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
6. Administers injections, immunizations and oral medications. Sutures wounds. Prepares written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances.
7. Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
8. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.
9. Assists physicians by recording patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders, and transcribes orders.
10. Providers both in-patient and tele-healthcare, as warranted.
11. Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
12. Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
13. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
14. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
15. Maintains patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Required : Education: Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program.

Experience: 1 year of related advanced care practioner experience.
