Associate Underwriter/Account Executive

Associate Underwriter WestPac is a family‑centric, locally owned regional wholesale and Managing General Agent (MGA) insurance firm dedicated to flexibility, diversity, and professional growth. Position Overview We seek a client‑focused Associate Underwriter with experience in the Property & Casualty insurance brokerage industry. The role centers on superior underwriting and account support in a high‑volume environment, helping agents meet goals with integrity and respect. Key Responsibilities Assist brokers and underwriters with new business and renewals. Underwrite and quote a designated renewal book of business, meeting premium thresholds. Collect complete underwriting information from agents. Build relationships with insurance carriers and agents. Apply commercial insurance coverage knowledge and underwriting practices. Handle day‑to‑day account service activities, including inquiries, endorsements, and issue resolution. Collaborate with the Service Team on quote processing, delivery, binding follow‑ups, inspections, and policy issuance. Participate in client retention efforts and provide account backup as needed. Accurately perform tasks in the agency management system. Undertake other assigned tasks to support team objectives. Qualifications Minimum 4 years in Property & Casualty insurance brokerage or agency. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail‑oriented with critical thinking abilities.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Positive attitude and adaptability to process changes. Above‑average computer skills in relevant software. Team player who values collaboration. Active Property and Casualty Producer License. Willingness to work regular core hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Why Join WestPac?
